Greene County district court, week ending Oct. 29

In Greene County district court Charles Andrew Richard Learned, 54, of Gowrie was sentenced Oct. 25 to five days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of theft-fourth degree. He must pay $463 victim restitution. He was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge. He must also pay an amount not to exceed $600 for his court appointed attorney’s fees and $179.74 court costs. Gailee Nichole Richter, 19, of Jefferson was sentenced to 30 days in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine. The jail time was suspended and she was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. Richter was fined $430 with a $64.50 surcharge; both were suspended. She must pay restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees not to exceed $800. Court costs were $164.62. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Jesse Whatley, 27, of Brazoria, TX, pleaded not guilty at arraignment to a charge of operating while intoxicated- third offense. His trial date was set for Jan. 4, 2022.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Luke Elwin Molle, 23, of Jamaica has been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of contraband in a correctional facility. The warrant was issued May 10 and returned Oct. 18.

Derek Eugene Ott, 30, of Fort Dodge has been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.
